Welcome to the Camp Warren Education and Recreation Center Summer Camp Program!
Providing quality camping experiences since 1962
Camp Warren typically runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for five weeks during the summer, providing camping opportunities for people with disabilities.
Nestled in rural Knowlton Township and conveniently situated between Route 80 and Route 46, it is designed for campers aged five and older and provides a 3:1 staffing ratio.
Campers enjoy fun-filled days packed with programs including arts and crafts, swimming, music, sports and games, nature appreciation, group activities and day trips.
About Camp Warren
Camp Warren is managed by the Recreation Department at The Arc of Warren County.
Adult residential camps are traditionally available for (2) weeks during the summer and (4) weeks of day camp are provided for both adults and children. The focus of the camp supports the development of social, behavioral and interpersonal skills and daily living and physical skills.
Many Camp Warren Counselors have backgrounds in Special Education or related fields in Human Services. All counselors receive training on how to care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities prior to the summer camp program.
Two weeks of residential camping for adults are typically offered during the camp season running Sunday to Saturday. Residential camp offers an extended camping experience while giving meaningful respite to families and caregivers. (Residential camp is currently unavailable, but we plan to resume it in the future.)
The Recreation Department also holds team and individual sports competition and Special Olympics training. Social Club, excursions, dances, and other therapeutic and leisure-time recreation activities round out a full schedule of events each year for this dynamic program that offers both sports and socialization opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Who Our Staff Are
Camp staff include very caring, patient, and experienced individuals focused on providing a safe, fun, and educational experience for all campers. All counselors receive an intensive training on how to care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, prior to our summer camp program.

Rent Camp Warren
Camp Warren is available for special events!
We have ample outdoor space to accommodate: Team Building Events, Agency Celebrations, Fundraising Events, Specialized Programs, Personal Parties, Weddings, and more.

Main building equipped with bathroom facilities/showers and industrial-sized kitchen
Cabins equipped with wood decks, bathrooms, cots and air conditioning/heat

All buildings/cabins are accessible and have paved walkways.
Volunteer Activities
Many corporate groups and local community groups volunteer their resources and time to help keep Camp Warren beautiful.
These volunteer opportunities are usually scheduled into a cooperative work day with Recreation Services.
